Hi – and welcome to Best Au Pair Guide. If you’re thinking about going abroad to work as an au pair, you’ve come to the right place! The au pair experience can be one of the best experiences in your life, but it can also be tough, if you aren’t well prepared. I’m here to help au pairs – and anyone interested in being an au pair – learn what about the job and what to expect.
I worked for one and a half years as an au pair in Germany and enjoyed it very much. I made many long lasting friendships, experienced life in Europe first hand, and learned German better than I would have in a classroom. I only wish more information about the job had been available before I went. Through this website and my eBook, The Girl’s Guide to Being an Au Pair, I hope to help others make the most out of the au pair experience.
